Getting Started Making Money Online and Working From Home

Making money online is one of the most popular search subjects aside from some of the more adult themes. Ever since the internet became publicly accessible people have been trying to make money online and even more so with the failing world economy.

The idea of working from home earning a living online is not only a desire for many, but fast becoming the logical choice for those that can’t find a place in the traditional job market. Let’s face it, the world economy is only getting better in the eyes of the Government and the media. Full time jobs of decent pay are reserved for the overqualified and the competition is steep.

The internet is teeming with legitimate opportunities, jobs, and ways to make money online, it is just a matter of finding what is right for you and taking the steps to get involved. You don’t have to look for the latest money maker or some magical formula for making money online, get involved in something that fits you, that you will be happy with.

Since you can make money online doing almost anything, spend some time thinking of what you enjoy doing and what you would enjoy doing for money. Obviously there are limits to this, but there are also “work-arounds” for most of those limits.

Steps for getting started making money online:

  • Investigate: Go to your favorite search engine and start searching and locating websites related to the subjects you enjoy. Look for a variety of sites ranging from blogs, forums, social sites, and even shopping sites or at least sites with products related to your subjects.
  • Learn: Using the websites you found in your search above, read and learn as much as you can about the subject and the sites involved in it.
  • Identity: Establish your identity online with a profile. This can be as simple as a facebook or twitter account that lists the subjects you are interested in or it can be a blog with a full about page and blog posts. The point is to let the world know that you are online and you are involved in these specific subjects. Now you do not have to use your real identity if you do not want the public knowing certain details, you can use an alias or even a business name.
  • Get Involved: Join a couple of the active communities related to the subjects you are interested in and get involved in the conversations. You are here to; learn, teach, and connect with associates in the areas of your interests.

The above steps are solid ground work for getting started making money online. Up until this point it is unlikely you have made a single dime online, but you have learned and even established yourself in the subject/markets you have selected.

Now you need to build an internet income around this ground work doing one or more of the following.

Make Money Online – Focus on the short term benefits

If you want to make money online, focusing on the short term has its benefits. Many times while reading blogs with considerable authority and even in my own writing, I find the tried and true advice of focusing on the long term. Think about the end goal, what you really want to accomplish in the long run. This is good advice, but good advice is not always easy to practice or follow.

If you are like most people trying to make money online and find it difficult to focus on your long term goal while taking care of business today, then why not try a shift in focus.

I am not asking you to forget about your long term goals, just try focusing on the short term benefits. Try on some manageable bite size goals and tasks. The everyday workings of making money online and trying to keep an eye on your end goal can be overwhelming and shift your focus to questioning your path.

Focusing on the short term benefits or short term goals that lead to your ultimate long term goal success can help keep you on track not to mention the rewarding feeling of accomplishing your short term goals. Try to break your long term goals down in to short term goals with rewards not tasks.

“Create short term goals that have benefits for accomplishing them other than just taking you one step closer to your end goal.”

Looking at what you are doing as tasks can make doing them a chore. Create short term goals that have benefits for accomplishing them other than just taking you one step closer to your end goal. In most cases this is simply just looking at your goals in a different light, and in other cases you may need to restructure the steps you take to reach your goals.

Example:

Let’s say your long term goal is financial freedom (it does happen to be the most common) and you have decided $500,000 in cash and assets as well as a steady and reliable income of $5000 per month is what you need for financial freedom.

You can break this long term goal down into a series of short term goals that each have benefits for achieving them as follows.

•    Short Term Goal #1: Earn $100 per month from my business. Put $25 of the $100 into savings towards my $500,000. Put $50 of the $100 back into my business. Spend the remaining $25 on anything I like as long as it is not related to the business or my end goal. The key is to not spend a dime of your earnings until you reach the goal of earn $100 per month from your business. This goal has a 3 tier rewards system built in. You are adding $25 per month toward your $500,000, putting money back into your business to help it grow and getting an extra $25 per month to spend freely.

•    Short Term Goal #2: Earn $400 per month from my business and buy a new computer. This goal has a reward built right into it. Just accomplishing this goal is a reward in and of itself. You can customize the distribution of your earnings or stick with the above distribution putting $100 into savings towards the $500,000, $200 back into the business, and spending the remaining $100 any way you like.

•    Short Term Goal #3: Earn $800 per month from my business and pay off one of my debts. Again, there is a built in reward just for completing this short term goal. You can pay off the debt using a portion or all of the money you would set aside for spending on yourself. You are now getting into income numbers that have much more room to play with and can have a much greater impact on your personal life as well as your business and your end goal.

•    Short Term Goal #4: Earn $1500 per month from my business and spend an extra hour per day doing something I really enjoy.

•    Short Term Goal #5: Earn $2000 per month from my business and draw up a new budget reevaluating my financial obligations, goals, and distribution.

•    Short Term Goal #6: Earn $3500 per month from my business and increase my savings deposit by 10%.

•    Short Term Goal #7: Earn $5000 per month from my business and begin to plan my exit strategy.

The key to the reward system of the short term goals is that you do not allow yourself the rewards until you accomplish the goals. Not only do you get the rewards after accomplishing each goal, but you get to look forward to your next goal and next set of rewards and get that much closer to your end goal.

If you want to make money online, try keeping your end goal on your mind, but focus on the short term benefits of your short term goals that will get you to your ultimate goal.

Work From Home – Break The Cycle – Earn Money Online

Working for someone else day in and day out gets old. You need to break the cycle and work from home. You need to earn money online. If this is not your first time visiting Mostever.com, then you already know that I am an entrepreneur not a writer. I am no word smith, but doing business online is where I have been for the last 14 years and after tasting the freedom of working from home, the idea of working for someone else again is not even an option.

Like many other people out there in the workforce, I became fed up and tired of the daily grind. Unlike most people, I did something about it. I got online and busted my but trying to find a way to supplement or even replace my income needs. I wanted to work from home and gain ultimate freedom and the answer was to earn money online.

Of course earning a living online is not as simple as just deciding you want to do it, but once you get some information about it, earning money online is not much different than earning money in the real world at a traditional job. There are plenty of legitimate opportunities online to make money, but you have to be careful not to get sucked into one of the many scams or schemes that are aggressively promoted.

Your #1 tool for learning to earn online is information. Quality information will usually lead you to more quality information which eventually puts you in a position to start making money online.

Even bad information is useful, if you know you are actually reading bad information. You can breakdown bad information into good information by learning; what is, what is not, what does, and what does not. Confusing?

Example:

You visit a shady site with a poor reputation and loads of “red-flag” content (it will scream at you that this is a scam or too good to be true or something to that effect). This “bad information” can now be used to judge and rate new information you come across.

“You have to learn the ropes and find what works best for you. Then you make it your own, make adjustments, and refine the process.”

Earning a living online is considered by many to be the ultimate career and it is something nearly anyone can do, you just have to get your information in order and take it slow in the beginning. It’s like learning a new job, you are not going to be employee of the month breaking company records right out of the gate when you have never done that job before. You have to learn the ropes and find what works best for you. Then you make it your own, make adjustments, and refine the process.
